Food for Thought

Food is awesome! The power of food lies in its ability not only to sustain us and give us energy but to help us prevent disease and help our bodies heal themselves.

My name is Carina. I am a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and an educator.  I have been teaching high school students for two decades, and while I enjoy the challenges and the rewards of helping teenagers expand their minds, I also feel passionate about helping people learn about the power of food and educating them so that they can make healthy choices that suit their purposes and needs.

Food not only nourishes our bodies. It also nourishes our minds and souls. The three are inseparable, so that the food we eat affects not only our physical, material being but also our mood, our personality, the core of who we are.

It is also our lifestyle choices that help determine whether we will live a healthy and fulfilling, disease-free life. Proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle can help us achieve optimal health, but it is up to us to take responsibility for our own health by learning about healthy choices and making informed decisions.
